The Prime Minister’s Honor Fund Scheme (PM-Kisan Yojana) is a government scheme through which all small and marginal farmers will get a minimum income of up to Rs. 6,000 per year. The Rs 75,000 crore project aims to cover 125 million farmers in India irrespective of the amount of their land.
The Prime Minister’s Kisan Samman Nidhi is a new central project to provide some financial assistance to all farming families in the country to meet the needs of their families in addition to agriculture and related activities.
The Government of India will bear the entire financial responsibility for the beneficiaries of this project.
All the landlord farming families who have cultivable land in their name will get benefits under this scheme.
When the scheme was launched on 24th February 2019, its benefits were only for small and marginal farmers and their families with a land area of 2 hectares. But later it was amended on 1st June 2019 and all types of landowners have been brought under this scheme.
Under the PM-Kishan scheme, all the landowner farming families will be given a financial benefit of Rs. 6,000 per annum which will be paid at the rate of Rs. 2000 every four months.
The present central government is thinking of doubling the financial benefits of this scheme. As a result, farmers will get Rs 12,000 per year instead of Rs 6,000 directly in the bank account.

Under this scheme, all the landowner farming families will get a total of Rs. 6,000 per annum in three equal installments. That means you will get 2000 rupees every four months.
The answer is no. Central, and state government employees, and retired officers, will not get benefits under this scheme. But retired multitasking staff, Class IV, and Group D employees are eligible to avail of benefits under this scheme. Unless you are stuck with any other qualification criteria.
The Government of India will take disciplinary action in accordance with the law if any farmer takes financial advantage of this project by providing false information.
The last date for determining the eligibility of beneficiaries under this scheme is 1st February 2019 and no change in eligibility for benefits under the scheme for the next five years thereafter except in case of the death of the sole landowner by transfer of land by inheritance.
In case of the death of the landowner, the heirs will get the benefit of this scheme.
No. If any member of the family has been paying income tax in the last assessment year, then the family is not eligible to avail of benefits under this scheme.
A farmer’s family is defined as a family consisting of husband and wife and minor children who own cultivable land as per the land records of the respective states and union territories.
No. The land must be in the farmer’s own name. If the ownership of the land is transferred to him by inheritance, then he will be eligible for the benefit of this project.

To apply online for the Kisan Samman Nidhi project, follow these steps: First, enter the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi by clicking here> https://pmkisan.gov.in/
Then click on the New Pharma Registration button. Then if you are in the village select Rural Pharma Registration. Or if you are in the city then select Urban Pharma Registration.
Then enter your UID number in the text box and select your state from the dropdown menu.
Now complete the captcha code and click on Next.
Next, the registration form will appear in front of you, there you select the state, district, Upazila, block, the village then the farmer’s name, gender, caste, the bank required information such as IFSC code, bank name, account number, mobile number then address, father / Mother / Husband’s name, date of birth, etc.
Check the self-declaration box below and save it. Complete the next steps and submit.
Thus, after completing the online registration of Kisan Samman Nidhi, receipt copy, Aadhar card, and bank account number, the land ledger should be submitted to the nearest agriculture office.
